Banded Shades

Natural light when you want it.
Privacy when you need it.

Banded shades layer sheer and solid fabric bands in a single shade. You can shift between natural light and privacy without raising or lowering the shade. Align the solid bands for full coverage, or offset them to let soft, filtered light through.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are banded shades?

Banded shades have alternating sheer and solid fabric bands in a single roller shade. You can overlap the solid bands for full coverage, or align them to let light filter through.

How are they different from regular roller shades?

Standard roller shades are either up or down. Banded shades let you filter light without fully raising the shade. Just shift the bands to adjust privacy throughout the day.

Can people see in from outside?

When the sheer bands are open, you can see out, but visibility from outside depends on lighting. During the day, it’s harder to see in. At night with lights on, overlap the solid bands for full privacy.

Are banded shades good for bedrooms?

They work well where you want flexibility. For complete darkness, honeycomb shades with blackout fabric may be a better choice.

What is ClearView®?

ClearView® is an optional sheer fabric that provides a clear view to the outside. It’s only available in select fabrics.

How much do banded shades cost?

It depends on window size, fabric, and control options. We’ll give you an exact quote after measuring.

Can they be motorized?

Yes. Choose SoftTouch® (battery-powered wand) or PowerView® (app, remote, voice, and smart home integration).

Do you install banded shades in Omaha and Lincoln?

Yes. We custom-measure and install banded roller shades in Omaha, Lincoln, and the surrounding areas.
