What exactly are Aura® Illuminated Shades?
Aura® is a three-in-one window treatment from Hunter Douglas: a textured front shade that filters natural light, a room-darkening liner for privacy and blackout, and built-in LED lighting that creates ambient illumination. All three elements work together or independently.
Do Aura® shades need electrical wiring?
Yes. Aura® shades run on PowerView+™, which is a hardwired (low-voltage) system. This means you’ll need electrical work during installation. If you’re building or renovating, we recommend planning for Aura® early so wiring can be included. We can help coordinate with your electrician.
Which shade styles are available with Aura?
You can choose from three front shade options: Vignette® Modern Roman Shades (elegant stacked folds), Designer Roller Shades (sleek and simple), or Sonnette® Cellular Roller Shades (energy-efficient curved cells).
