Are woven wood shades good for privacy?
On their own, natural woven shades filter light and soften the view. But they’re not fully private, especially at night. For complete privacy, add an optional liner in light-filtering or room-darkening fabric.
Can I get bamboo shades that block light?
Yes. While bamboo blinds naturally filter light, you can add a room-darkening liner for bedrooms or media rooms. The liner operates independently, so you can use it alone or layer it with your woven shade.
What's the difference between Roman and Waterfall styles?
Roman-style woven wood shades stack in neat, flat folds when raised. Waterfall Roman shades keep their soft, cascading folds even when lowered, for more visual texture and dimension.
Do you have woven vertical shades for sliding doors?
Yes. Provenance® offers a Vertical Drapery style for sliding glass doors and large windows. The woven panels glide side-to-side on a track, giving you natural texture with the function of vertical blinds.
Are natural woven shades energy efficient?
They provide some insulation on their own. For better energy efficiency, add an optional liner. It creates an insulating air pocket between the shade and the window.
How do I clean bamboo blinds?
Dust regularly with a soft cloth or vacuum with a brush attachment. Avoid water and liquid cleaners, which can damage natural fibers.
Can woven wood blinds be motorized?
