Wanted to replace tired window coverings with no idea where to start. Called Susan at Custom Blinds and scheduled a convenient appointment. She listened carefully to my concerns and suggested beautiful alternatives. The next step was an appointment in my home where Susan helped me narrow down options until I was certain I had found just the right blinds. The order was delivered right as Susan said it would be. Monte came to my home exactly on time and professionally installed wth no mess. I could not be happier with my choice of Custom Blinds & Design. Installation was fast and the shades look great and they work so smoothly. We were told it might be 6 to 8 weeks for delivery, but it ended up being only a month. I am delghted with Custom Blinds abd Design.Working with Custom Blinds and Design was so easy. I have10-year old Hunter Douglas shades covering 6 windows that are at the top of very high walls. Raising and lowering the shades is done by a remote control. Changing the batteries on the shades required a very tall ladder and dozens of batteries. I thought I would need to purchase all new shades in order to have shades with solar power. But Jill from Custom Blinds and Design suggested another plan - - just removing the battery packs and adding solar packs to my windows. The men who installed the solar systems were experienced and made the switchover with no problems. I’m delighted with the results - - no more tall ladder and dozens of batters to replace! Friendly folks. My honeycomb shade fixed right at the predicted 2 weeks. Fix is good and shade is working so well. Issues: Website charged credit card 3 times because it errors out each time. Company ultimately fixed charges. Frustrating. Shade is only 4 years old and already broke. Not a good indicator. Plus cost me $125 to fix. I hope no more break anytime soon. They struggled tracking my shade. It took multiple days and phone calls to figure it out. They succeeded but a bit frustrated with that process.Friendly and helpful customer service. Excellent and beautiful products. They stand behind their service/customers.Great service from help with selection to installation. The reason I have given a 4 star rating instead of a 5 star rating is because they have recently instituted an $80 service fee. Hunter Douglas window treatments come with a lifetime warranty. Hunter Douglas should be paying this fee, not the customer. I live about 7 minutes from the gallery and my repair took Marcus less than 3 minutes to complete and the part might have cost a nickel. I hope that they will reconsider this service fee or at least make the fee more more reasonable and consider distance driven to the customer's home, etc.This is the 2nd house that we've used Custom Blinds. The designer is a great help with selection, the product doesn't take long to arrive, the install is really quick. I've only had to have one blind repaired and was shocked when they told me it was still under full warranty 13 years after the purchase! I've attached a photo for reference. We also went with all the tech features like the Power View App which allows you to open/close by cell phone. You can also set times for them to open/close automatically. We also like the stylish Pebble.Our blinds/shutters/shades look great and work great! Susan suggested we change a color in one room, which was a great idea. Justin and Tom got everything installed quickly. Once we got internet installed at our house, Justin came back to setup Powerview, configure single room and multi-room automation, and integrate those with Alexa.
